
Another Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde inspired by our wonderful Brazilian Steakhouse dinner. We start off with the Caipirinha on the left, made with Novo Fogo‘s Cachaca. What made this transformation difficult was the simple three ingredient nature of the drink but I managed to do it. Mr. Hyde is what I’m calling the Southerner in Brazil, an old fashioned in Caipirinha clothing made with the ever excellent High West silver. I can see both complimenting a day on the beach or a hot summer’s night.
Dr. Jekyll: Caipirinha
Ingredients-
-1 tsp sugar
-½ Lime
-2 oz of Cachaca
-(Optional) Ice
Directions – Dice lime into 4 or more wedges and put into a glass along with the sugar. Muddle both together then pour Cachaca into glass. Stir and serve with ice.
Mr. Hyde: Southerner in Brazil
Ingredients-
-1 tsp sugar
-½ Lime
-1 Cherry
-2-3 dashes of bitters
-2 oz of whiter/clear whiskey
-(Optional) Ice
Directions – Dice lime into 4 or more wedges and put into a glass along with the sugar, cherry, and bitters. Muddle all together then pour Whiskey into glass. Stir and serve with ice.
